The Freewell Variable ND 2-Filter Kit for DJI Mavic Air 2 allows you to switch between different ND ratings by easily twisting the ring on the front of each filter. The included ND2-ND32 filter lets you cut between 2 to 5 stops of light and the ND64-ND512 filter can cut between 6 to 9 stops. The filter frames are ultra-lightweight so as not to put any strain on your drone, and the optics are made of multi-coated glass for waterproof, dustproof, scratch-proof, oil-proof, and color neutral performance.

ND filters enable you to block the amount of light reaching the camera sensor in sunny outdoor conditions. This allows you to shoot without having to significantly close the aperture and increase your shutter speed to compensate for the brightness. You can use large apertures without overexposing the image and slow shutter speeds to achieve cinematic motion blur.

Performance

• ND4 to ND32 (2 to 5 stops): Designed for normal daylight conditions ranging from cloudy to average sunny days
• ND64 to ND512 (6 to 9 stops): Ideal for bright sunny days

What are ND/PL filters?

Neutral Density (ND) and polarizing (PL) drone camera filters are intended to reduce and / or filter the amount of light entering the camera. When applied correctly, ND / PL filters give fuller colours and greater contrast (such as clouds against a clear sky). Videos become smoother and cinematic due to an optimal shutter speed combined with recording speed (frames per second).
