The joint for the (height) adjustment is equipped with thick serrations that clamp the whole thing very firmly (so not only on clamping force that can fail and damage your valuable mobile device). The ball joint just below the clamp can be tightened firmly so that the whole remains stable. The clamp holder itself is equipped with a powerful spring and soft foam so that your mobile device is firmly in place and remains 100% scratch-free.
